BOOM! (fish)!!! An explosion of mind-boggling violence rang out into the Hadal regions of nothing 13.7 billion years ago. The universe has cooled since, explosive energy has condensed into the matter that makes up everything from ventricles to dew drops balancing on the edge of poplar ferns. In the primordial instance of this great 'bang!' lie clandestine meetings between knowledge and truth, man has put a glass to the wall and awaits to give ears to the confabulation. Most finely tuned of these 'ears' is the Large Hadron Collider, its auditory tube circles the earth beneath Bourdigny, accelerating two beams of atomic particles in opposite directions. The content of the conversation between these two virtues is uncertain. It may be of the Higgs boson, quark/gluon plasma, parallel universes, a myriad unknowns but what is in no doubt is that whoever built this instrument should start a puppet show or bakery!
